Within the parameters of energy efficiency, the KOSGEB SME Energy Efficiency Support Program
In order to develop the necessary strategies, build their capacities, and meet their most pressing needs, it is intended to identify the issues and needs of SMEs by assessing their current status in the green transformation.
The Program’s Goals

The goal of the Green Transformation Support Program is to assess the current state of SMEs’ efforts to go green, to pinpoint their issues and needs, to develop the necessary plans of action, to build their capacities in line with these plans of action, and to address their top needs.
In this context, support designs have been created separately for businesses whose annual energy consumption falls between 10 and 99 TEP and for those whose consumption falls between 100 and 500 TEP.
Support Coverage
The annual energy usage of businesses with a TEP of 10 to 99; assistance is given for the engine survey service to be obtained from EVD businesses; Survey Project Certificate holders; Energy Systems Engineering graduates; Energy Manager Certification; and Engine Replacement Expenses that are Recommended to be Changed as a Result of This Survey.
The annual energy consumption of businesses with 100 to 500 TEP is supported, both for the cost of implementation of the suggestions made as a result of this survey as well as for the energy audit service they will receive from EVD companies qualified in their industry.
TEP: What is it?
Ton Equivalent Petroleum, or TEP: The unit of energy used is the equivalent of 10 million kcal, allowing the energy resources to be expressed in a single unit. According to the Regulation on Increasing Efficiency in the Use of Energy Resources and Energy from October 25, 2008, all energy sources must be converted to TEP coefficients. Calculations must take these into account.

EEC Firms: Who Are They?
Commercial entities that operate outside of our country are Energy Efficiency Consulting (EEC) companies. The ability to work in the field of energy efficiency requires a specific level of qualified personnel and equipment infrastructure, and only legal persons are granted an authorization certificate.
EEC companies are defined as legal entities that have been given a certificate of authority. They offer services like energy management training, energy audits, project preparation, consultancy in the implementation of the project, and energy management for industrial enterprises and buildings.
